The City of Belfast will hold a Public Hearing on Monday, January 26, 2015, at 6:30 p.m., at the Council Chambers of Belfast City Hall, 131 Church Street, Belfast, Maine, to discuss an application being submitted to the State of Maine CDBG program for an Economic Development Program grant of up to $1,100,000. The purpose of the request is to provide funding to OnProcess Technology to be used as working capital, to purchase telephone, computer, and other equipment, and to provide job training. Public comments will be solicited at this Hearing and will be submitted as part of the application's required documentation.
On Process Technology is not even present. HUGE RED FLAG Peter Delgreco, Brunswick Maine of Maine and Company is selling this company to Belfast using CDBG.
@ 9:18 City Council John Arrison - Tries to get information with community involvement and high turn over. Delfreco states he does not know. Why is he even here? He states he is non-profit.(See below where I copied Maine & Company Board and Staff members. Time Warner Cable heads the list. Along with Law Firm Eaton Peabody. Linking again, EP attorney Judy Metcalf a childhood summer resident in Northport- Village of Bayside. Judy serves as an attorney on the Northport/Bayside Village Corporation with ties to Belfast.)
JOHN ALSO ASKS THE AMOUNT THAT WALDO COUNTY WILL HAVE MATCH FOR THE GRANT AND CITY MANAGER SLOSCUM JUMPS TO SILENCE HIM. WHISPERING STRONGLY THAT INFORMATION HAS NOT BEEN MADE PUBLIC. HUGER RED FLAG
Hurley tries to quell by stating Bank of America has low turnover. Bull. They are always hiring. Nasty.
Rail Trail 3:30 in Slocum states he is not comfortable telling the public how much has been pledged for the Rail Trail....

In other business, the Council:
• Heard from representatives of OnProcess Technology. The Massachusetts-based logistics company finalized plans this week to open offices in Belfast. The Council accepted an $800,000 Community Development Block Grant that will go directly to OnProcess to pay for telephony, computers and other equipment, and working capital for payroll and lease payments. The terms of the grant require OnProcess to create 50 full-time equivalent jobs in the next two years, with half of those jobs going to people from low-to-moderate income households. The Council also approved a "clawback" agreement to recoup the money from OnProcess in the event the company does not meet those requirements.
