Dad's great grandmother was Anne Melton of the Tom Dula (Hang Down Your Head Tom Dooley) love triangle. Found my 2nd cousin on FB and he wrote this book. I didn't know much about this. Dad never talked about it. I just knew the song. To find this and others that wrote books and knew my family that I never met... Mind blowing. They have a reenactment every year at Whippoorwill Academy and Village in Ferguson, NC. Bucket List.
